Kim's Calvin and Hobbes Page
Ah, yes, the many alter egos of Calvin, all part of Calvin's imagination. Here's a little bit about them...

Studendous Man: Stupendous Man has to be my favourite alter ego. He's just--just cool, that's all. Stupendous Man dons his red cape and fights out danger wherever it is located, and is bound to get him into trouble.

Tracer Bullet: The detective, of when clues should be resulted, like when the flower pot breaks, or if Calvin goes bald. Even though Bill didn't know much about film noir, I must say he did a very good job with Tracer Bullet, even though he didn't appear much.

Spaceman Spiff: The most popular of Calvin's alter egos, Spaceman Spiff is the one who zaps evil Zorgs or frays evil Martians. Whether exploring through space, or crashing down the stairs, this little guy's always cool.

Captain Napalm: He only appeared twice in the whole ten years Calvin and Hobbes was drawn. Once as an alter ego, and again as a comic book superhero.

Safari Al: The rarest of the rarest of Calvin's alter egos, who appeared only once. You could say he was a little bit of a spoof of The Crocodile Hunter before the Crocodile Hunter was created.

Calvin the Zombie: One that everyone has forgotten about. Calvin was working on his homework, he decided the living dead don't NEED to work. Thus, came Calvin the Zombie. Hobbes got into the habit of being a zombie, too.

Dinosaurs: Enough with obscurity, let's get back to continually appearing alter egos! Such as ... the dinosaurs! Every few Sundays or so, the dinosaurs would rampage through forests and buildings and so forth. Calvin had a love for dinosaurs, and Bill could draw a fairly good one. This is an early dino strip, so near the end, the dinosaurs were great-looking characters.

S ... for stupendous!
T ... for tiger, ferocity of!
U ... for underwear, red!
P ... for power, incredible!
E ... for excellent physique!
N ... for ... um ... something ... hm, we'll come back to that ...
D ... for determination!
U ... for ... wait, how do you spell this? Is it "I"??
Yeah, that's me, Tracer Bullet. I've got eight slugs in me. One's lead, and the rest are bourbon. The drink packs a wallop, and I pack a revolver. I'm a private eye.
Our hero, Spaceman Spiff, is marooned on the most distant planet in the galaxy!
