Skip to contentI always used to wonder why no one had made a reality show about comic strips. But then it occurred to me: all it would be is people stealing other people's jokes, randomly adding tons of detail at the end for no reason, and getting praised for it. Sounds absurd, doesn't it? If you haven't seen the show, this is pretty much exactly what it's like, and this comic sums up my major criticisms with it. If you have a moment, upvote it on Reddit, will ya? This one took a ton of work to do!

I thought the Voice was just invading my home. My wife watches AND records it, so it is on the TV all the time.
And now it’s invading my comics?!
It’s a good think it’s so compellingly addictive.

I am guilty of watching most of a season or two of The Voice and you nailed it!

Does anyone else read what the judges are saying in their voices?

But there totally was a reality show about cartoonists, Strip Search, and it was incredibly well done!

Indeed you’re right, I’ve watched that and loved it. I should have specified if there were a *singing show* about webcomics.

It was at this time, Wonder Woman finally appeared on network TV. In the fall of 1975, The New, Original Wonder Woman aired on ABC. Starring Lynda Carter, the first episode dealt with Wonder Womanβs origin, sticking very closely to the comic book version. The ABC show was very tongue in cheek, but was a hit and aired on ABC and CBS, until 1977. Lynda Carter became the first woman to star in an action/adventure TV series, giving more credence to the ties between Wonder Woman and feminists.

And you can vote for Wonder Woman by calling 1-866-COMIC-2!

Stunning Rhona Mitra dressed up in a Wonder Woman costume is definitely something that I wouldn’t miss. The English actress who played the lead character Sonja in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans definitely wears the Wonder Woman outfit quite well. As for her possibly playing the role in a future Wonder Woman movie or even the Justice League movie slated for 2015, who knows? She could be a pretty cool choice. However, I just think it’s cool that she chose to dress up as the iconic female comic book superhero for Halloween. For that, she gets extra cool points.

As soon as I drew this comic I thought, “This is it. This is the comic that brings in the hardcore Wonder Woman fans.”

Busiek first pitched the idea in 2006 to Dan DiDio following the announcement of 52 . His initial pitch involved a 12-page weekly book in which the first 7 pages were focused on an ongoing story with Superman , Batman and Wonder Woman , and the remaining 5 pages were used to promote the rest of the line. The book was planned to follow up 52, however it wound up being pushed back a year, and developing into a full 22-page book with two stories, and the promotional idea being dropped.

I can’t even read this and convince myself to click the “Not Spam” button, but I do it anyway.
