Welcome to this week's Way Back Wednesday!This comic was originally posted November 18, 2007.This is the perfect example of a comic not being done justice. Art-wise, there's not much that needs to be changed here; it's quite good. I don't know what I did with the filters in Photoshop (or GIMP, at the time) but it made it illegible. Finally, this strip gets the justice it deserves! Also, "cookies" is really hard to fit on a cookie jar.As you may or may not know, I'm going to be running guest strips soon. The strips start Monday, September 2 and the site will be updated 5 days a week, from Monday and Friday! Make sure to make a note of that. You don't want to miss them!

O goodness the strawberry rhubarb tartlets we made in cooking were delicious they were a sugared pie crust.Which is 3 cups all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup 1 tablespoon crisco(chilled), 11/2 sticks butter (cold,Cut into cubes), and 1/4 cup 2 tablespoons water. With a strawberry rhubarb compote filled with 12 ounces stawberries, five stalks of rhubarb, the zest of one lemon, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 3 tablespons orange extract,and 11/2 cups sugar stir to combine wrap in plastic and put in the fridge along with the crust overnight. Fill one twelve cupcake tin with the sugared pie crust and trim off extra dough. The extra crust will be cut into 1/4 inch strips used as a lattice. With a mesh strainer separate the compote from the liquid and save the liquid for a soaked sponge cake or a favoring for sprite. Yum(: ! fill each chilled sugared pie crust lined with 2 tablespoons of the compote and cover with 6 strips of pie crust per pie and beat two eggs and brush on top of the lattice sprinkile with granulated sugar and bake for one hour.
