Hey, Kim! Your strip is looking great! The art has really improved, and it was good to start with! I have been on Sherpa also for a couple of years. It’s inexpensive, and run by one of the syndicates, so you can’t beat that. I tried on a couple of occasions several years ago to use Wacom tablets to do my drawing – it would be a lot faster than the penciling-inking I do by hand. I was never able to get the characters to look the same digitally as they did when I drew them by hand. I also admit that I didn’t stick with it a very long time. Now I only publish one strip a week (I’m spending time this year working on learning css and improving my drawing skills), so doing one strip by hand isn’t so bad. But your stuff looks really good! Maybe at some point I’ll develop the patience to learn how to draw on the computer a little better! 🙂
Thanks! I’ve been trying and failing with tablets for years. Finally I got a Surface Pro 2 and it’s changed everything for me. Especially being able to draw directly into Photoshop. And the brush set I’m using even has a blue pencil preset that feels very natural. All I can say is it’s made a believer out of the biggest skeptic, and I highly recommend it.
